Monument Valley from John Ford Point

    This shot is of a portion of Monument Valley taken from John Ford Point which is accessible from the loop road that runs through portions of the valley and can be used by the public without a guide. The dots near the bottom of the mesa in the center are cars on the loop road. Hopefully this will give you an idea of the scale of these formations and what the valley is like.

    Thank you all for your nice comments. Monument Valley is an incredible place and I'm happy that I was able to share the view with you.

    Thanks for sharing, Mike. Good view point. I was also in the area about the same time. Unfortunately, it was pretty cloudy the day we passed Monument Valley. If you have time check out my pics on pbase and check out my shot dates in the shooting data.
