Moon set over Kenai Mountains

At 5AM this morning, the moon was just setting on the mountains across the bay from us in Homer.

No, it's a typical spring morning. 29F now, and it will be in the 40's to low 50's by afternoon.

The color of the moon is what attracted me to take the photos. Yesterday it was setting just as I got out of the shower, and I didn't have time to photograph it. Today, I was pleased to see the same color in the moon when I got up, so I quickly shot a few photos of it.

Don't worry Matt. When you join me in June we'll be getting up plenty early, so any extra sleep now will serve you well!

Great shot Steve!!! I like to use the moon in my images whenever I can. This image makes me want to come back up!!! I sure enjoyed my visit last March.
