More Bull

Discussion in 'Other Animals' started by frdjohns, Sep 15, 2018 at 7:27 PM.

  1. I traveled back down to central PA searching for elk this morning. Tough shooting; dark, cloudy, slight mist falling at times and very few elk moving. A couple bulls bugled right after sunrise, but things quieted down rather quickly.

This bull was working down the edge of a field near a place called "Hicks Run". I shot through a bunch of timber from the other side of field, moving around to find a hole through the trees each time he moved a bit.

    1. Checking me out in the distance.

    2. Still not worried, but keeping an eye on me.

    3. Trying to smell me now, still not stressed or worried.

I probably watched this guy for about 10 -12 minutes before he leisurely moved through the brush and trees behind him and crossed a fast moving creek.
  2. Impressive rack on this guy. Nicely done Fred.
  3. Thanks Bob.

    Thank you.
