More eagles chasing osprey on Lk Washington

Discussion in 'Birds' started by james thiel, Jul 11, 2007.

  1. Well, you have seen Louies shots as well as Bill's. Here are a few of mine from our last outing. It was so cool to watch the osprey fish and the eagle leave the tree and chase the osprey. I never saw the eagle actually take the fish but it was a lot of fun to watch this. Hope you are not tired of these images yet.

Here is a butt shot of the osprey flying away with the fish

Then the eagle begins to close in:

Then the shot that Louie posted only this is my version. Not as good but still fun to see an eagle upside down in the air.

Here is an adult flying by:

Tired of these shots?!?? Uh, no.

Just goes to show that there are great shooting opportunities all around the country (world actually ) . You just have to make the effort to find them.

    Excellent series Jim.
  10. Excellent series Jim. You got some terrific shots that I didn't even see while there.

  16. We have been very lucky to have all this action so close by and good weather to shoot in. Thanks.

Thanks Andreas. Yes it was a great day.

    Thanks much.
    Thanks Tim.

    Thanks Gale.
    Thanks much.
    Thanks much David.
Thanks Frank. We even get lucky with weather a couple days a year here in the PNW.
Louie, I think some of the action was after you had left.
I agree. I don't see this often so I snapped away while it was shaking it's neck.
    Thanks much
It won't be all that long, but then summer will be over.
    Thanks Nick.
    Again, thank you much.
