Last set from me for a while. Going on a small trip with the family, then off for a shoot in northern Missouri chasing some obscure sparrows. So...until I return (hopefully with some nice shots), here are some from the last few days. Some taken from the bubbler, a few taken from a prairie grass area in a local state park.

Wish I had better light for this one...still...best I have of this species thus far.

Then one morning I took a long walk into a prairie restoration project in a local state park. Found a few sparrows, but with my bad luck, they perched in the FEW spots that had any shadows! I would have loved to have these in open light.

These were taken with the 600VR, 1.4tc

Back to the bubbler...got there early as that is the only time I get a window of directl light the way I want it on the subjects, and it lasts for a very short time span.

Then...gave up with the growing dark shadows and bumped the ISO up.
