More - need help with Thunderbird

I have a Mac Pro and a MBP which has TB on both. I had some trouble getting mail on my Mac Pro so I deleted 1 account - allanrube@gmail.com.

I added it back to my Mac Pro - pop mail - settings exactly like I have on the MBP. However, the inbox and trash and separate on the Mac Pro.

Does anyone have a suggestion of what I need to change. I want it the way it is on my MBP - the first image, not the way it is now - 2nd image

Options/Account Settings
Click on Server Settings on the left (if several of these, examine them all)
Press the Advanced button part way down on the right.
A window opens. The options there let you choose whether the mail is shown separately or not.

This is an issue with more than just the free stuff. There seems to be an attitude that if you can't figure it out you may be too stupid to use it. Poor or no documentation or support. Makes me crazy sometimes.
