Nice Egrets Mike. I really like the colors in the last shot of the Mallards.

Thanks Nick. Those ducks were shot early morning as the sun was rising. Just my luck I only got one shot off...as the memory card was full. They were gone before I got another in the camera.

Thanks Gale. I did have a great time at MI3 along with meeting the other shooters. A great time was had by all (despite the PHDD failure). I guess we're spoiled living in Florida, though. All I have to do to see an egret, heron, or ibis ....is open the patio door.

Nice series of Egret shots, Mike, but my favorite is the colorful shot of the Mallards. Those guys are hard to capture!

Thanks Gordon. Those ducks were haulin' some butt!!!! Much faster than the egrets. I was surprised to see them. Ducks are not too common around these neck of the woods. Even stranger....I saw these guys (below) out in my backyard canal (salt water). I think of ducks as freshwater fowl..for some reason. I was amazed this group of ducks was swimming down the canal. They took off the instant they saw me. They are pretty fast.

WOW! - the first one of this last group really strikes a chord with me. It tells a story and the detail is fantastic.

Thank you Nat. I appreciate you commenting. I wish the ducks would return. I have not seen them in months. I do know where a pair of wood ducks is hanging out and hope to get some flight shots of them.
