More portraits from the weekend (Pic Heavy - 15 pics)

So I shot 3 other girls this past weekend for my website. This is my first time doing portraits of other people besides my mom or sister so learning how to pose them is extremely hard for me. It was nice having Austyn and Annette together because they helped each other out with posing but Lindsey I had a tough time coming up with poses. Anyone have any tips for that? Anyways on to the pics! Any comments welcome, thanks!

My setup for the day was my D300 and the 70-200mm VR so Mike it was the lens that gave the great DOF. It reall is an exceptional lens.

Mitch believe it or not it was all natural light, no reflectors or anything. I was trying to get my hands on a reflector before the weekend came but couldnt so I had to do without. The morning I shot Annette and Austyn it was overcast which turned out perfect. I shot Lindsey later that night and the sun had finally came out so it was harder to find places to shoot her where there would be no shadows since I had no reflector. So for her I just tried to stay in places where there was no sun showing.

I know me too, I just rented it from Glazer's for the weekend. It's actually really cheap to do so, so every once in awhile I'll get a list of people lined up to shoot one weekend and go spend the $30 bucks to use it.

Though I am saving up for it right now, it might just take awhile haha

Haha don't worry I'm in the same boat. Since I only rented it, having used it now, it makes you want it so much more. I cannot wait till I have the money to purchase this lens. It quite is amazing. I really though would like to try the 85mm f/1.4 just to be able to stop down to 1.4.
