Clive , my thingies try :>))

Ok Clive

Here is my first save for Art type image. Looked for the original and it is still in an NEF.. I processed it, then got to PS and somehow ended with this. lol Now have to process it again. Talk about getting carried away and side tracked.

Tell me what you think. Honestly.......

Chris ,
Those actions were mostly written when PS 7 was out.

Also work in PSCS And PSCS2 . Haven't tried them all in CS2 yet. But those I have work. Know for sure they work in 7.

Can these actions be use in ps elements 3?
I'm not sure about that, Mike.

But if you go to the Action Central site (link in first post) I think that the Sheri's Sketch action is available in several incarnations for different versions of Adobe programs.
Clive,

Thanks for the reply. Sheri's site does have some actions for pse3, with instructions on how to install them. I'll give it a go and let you know how I fare.

Thanks
Mike

You're welcome, Mike.

Good luck with the "technicalities" and I look forward to seeing your results.

Thank You Clive,

I wasn't very sure about it, that is why I had it printed. Took it to work and some no response and some went goofy over it. We all see different and like different things. A year ago I thought why would someone do that to a very nice photo. Now hanging with the retouching forum for so long I just love the things they do and want to learn.

I did not use an action. Used the filters in CS2. Sketch, played with the controls, and then saved, opened it again. Decided then to put color in it and used PWL (paint with light) with the colors.

I played for about an hour. LOL

Hi Clive,

I really like the Hayes Island and Sherri's sketch too. I use them frequently. Also if you have tried Isabel's pastel sketch, you have to. It is on atncentral as well.

Do you visit the Retouching forum on dpr and if you do, what name do you go by?

Here is one done using the Pastel sketch of my daughter when she was a year old.

I can't get the image to come up here. I have always highlighted it and clicked on img and it didn't work and then I just clicked on img and still nothing happened but you can click on the link and you will see it.

Nice work on all of your pictures :)

hi clive-

i like #4 the most. have you tried increasing the contrast to see if it becomes more sketch-like?

#2 is my least favorite, i get a headache just looking at it

Go to your Pbase page and choose the pic you want to post.

Highlight its URL in your browser's address line

Press CTRL-C to copy the URL to the clipboard.

Begin your post here in the usual way

Click on the little box above with "Img" on it.

Press CTRL-V to paste the URL into your post.

Add .jpg to the URL.

Click on the little box with "Img" on it again.

Job's done.

Not yet, but that sounds like a good idea. I'll give it a try.

My eldest son agrees with you. He says it's like looking at one of those 3D pictures but without the special glasses. Cheeky young pup!

Thanks Gale, I forgot about closeing the tags. I always had good luck with the way Gaye does and that is highlighting the http and cluck on img.

Oh well, now I know of another way.
