    This kid is doing it wrong. The field coach ought to be ashamed. Poor kid is llikely to get hurt throwing a shotput like this. One of my teammates used to throw a shotput like a baseball...he could throw it farther than anyone of us, but he was a big bruiser of a kid...and he always had shoulder problems after that.

    Anyway, nice shots.

    Not bad at all, gosh I wish I could have given track shooting a try before it ended for the season.......next year for sure.

    For shot put, the best photos I've ever seen are those just before or just as they begin to release the shot (IOW just as their arm starts to move or before). That place the shot near their head and you can get a nice tight shot.
