I know the composition is not the best, but the 3 flowers,3 deadheads and new growth in the back, looked interesting.

There is always room for improvement ,o)
But its a pretty shot, and very nice color. the only thing I wonder about is
why the petals on the right lower flower go anti clockwise.
To me that is almost not natural
Course there is an explanation for that ..o)

Nice shot!

A few things to experiment with next time:

Perhaps a shallower DOF. This might require a different focal length and distance to the subject.

Even though the subject is symmetrical, walk around and try to find an interesting composition where the subject is not in the center of the image. This might require a longer focal length....

Perhaps a little reflected light or fill flash only on the flowers...

I didn't notice the the difference in the direction of the petals, until you pointed them out.
