    Robert these (and this) were all taken with the 60mm AF-S crouching down in the long grass at the parkland around Alexandra Palace very early on Sunday morning, pop-up flash and hand held.

    Thank you Torben. The fly was completely torpid and I was able to hold the blade of grass for the best angle. Any ideas for the id of the Mirid bug in the last?

    I really like the first one. The green (what is that) against the very dark background with all the dew is splendid.

    No focus stacking on these. ( I didn't know what focus stacking was before now!)
