    And a rest :>))
Shot real close to home where I think I am seeing some great opportunities opening up.. Was on the way to the wetlands.

Eagle was a mile away. So took what I could get today. Had fun with the fresh little snoweys. :>)))) Good day for me for snoweys. Have not gotten them ready for the net yet. Processed and ready to go to photoshop, I hope tomorrow.

Beautiful day here today. Got nice and warm and the sky was sooo blue and clear. I was really suprised after the 40's low last night.

    Please critique. thanks.

Don't really know what I see on the LCD.

    Thank You Mike,

One of the better ones I have gotten.

They are not always so easy to shoot. Thier colors are tough at times.

  4. Beautiful Gale! fuzzy lil booger tho, may be a bad winter coming down there.

I hope the winter is kind. Hurricane season in the south was not. I was ok. But thousands of people suffered badly :<(.

Dave I am so glad you had a great time today :>))
Thank you for the kind words. :>))

Nice shot Gale. I've tried a few reflection shots. I always seem to cut one of the heads off.
Look forward to seeing your snowys

  14. Looks like a female Anhinga, not Cormorant.

    Great one Gale
I dig the way his/her tail continues with the reflection, you turned a common back shot into something really neat !!

How do you tell the female from the male. So many species look alike , male and female.

    Thank You Ben,

    I loved shooting this one.

  19. Gale,
The neck of the female is a lighter brown. The male has a dark neck. I'm no expert but I've made about 15 one week trips to South Florida to photograph birds and landscape. I picked up a few things from my friend Bobby Harrison who is a big time birder. He's one of he co-rediscoverers of the Ivory Bill Woodpecker.

Thank You for the very valualble information. I really appreciate that. I see so many of these. Tough to shoot a good one. (for me anyway)

I will surely look close ...

You are so kind to answer.
