Mother and Baby Wood Ducks in early morning light.

Discussion in 'Birds' started by james thiel, Jul 4, 2005.

  1. I went to my favorite local spot to watch for Osprey's early this morning. I was lucky to see the mother and baby Wood Ducks going around the Lilly Pads.

Later on we saw six Osprey flying over us. It was sure fun to watch them. I will process those pictures later. I will leave this post with a picture of the Bald Eagle that was sitting in the tree above me this morning. I figured it was appropriate for those of us living in the US since it is the 4th of July.

Great shots Jim. Your Eagle shot is one of the best I've seen. Very clean. What cam / lens?

    Happy 4th!!

  4. Thanks Patrick and Frank. These were shot with the Nikon D100 along with the Sigma 500 and 1.4 Nikon 14EII TC. I am about to go for the D2X as the wife gave me the thumbs up!!!

Now my only fear is that the D2X will be too complicated for me. Happy 4th.
