Any of you shoot Motorsports? I'd enjoy seeing your work and talking shop!
Does MX count?
Great bike shots billtils. Bikes are what I like to shoot the most.
Nice one Bland!
I'm retired now but used to be a bit of a petrol-head, competing in classic car events at club level in my 1969 MGB. I gave that up many years ago, and now spend my leisure time on photography with a strong interest in birds. However, the route to one of my favourite locations passes an MX track and bikes and birds are both colourful things that move .
May give cars a go this summer ...
Yes, I like action, dust and speed !
All of these taken in November at the Cape Town leg of the international RallyCross : Killarney racecourse
Irene, the first could have been me many years ago (spinning and kicking up the dust, not the photography).
Don't shoot a lot of motorsport but did go out several years ago when my brother was racing with the Porsche Club at Road Atlanta.
My brother was driving the 997 twin turbo #723, the GT3 #256 was driven by one of his teammates that came down from Halett raceway in Ok.
Had posted these in the past but links were broken due to photobuckets new policy.

Shooting motorsports was the reason I bought my D500:
I like a little motor sports action.
I, too, bought a D500 primarily for motorsports. Motorcycle road racing is my favorite but I'm enjoying any time I can get at the track. I still need lots of practice...
I missed on my panning on this one but I still like the color and smoke.
Does this count as a motorsport? It's double the fun taking 1/25" shutter speed panning shots from a moving boat.
