    thank you.. I have always been chasing the Milky Way arch, and the goal was to capture that and the sky cooperated. As you know, living in the PNW, you never have any guarantees that the skies will remain clear, even if forecasted as such, as mountains make their own, weather.

    Wow, excellent image, and we will feature this in a few days since it was nominated. Just a nice melding of weather and skill to create this great vista. My sincere compliments. Quick question, any image stacking or did you go old school single image for I am guessing 30-35 seconds?

    the road to JRO opens on May 16th, but this shot is from Castle Lake Look out... one of my favorites in winter b-4 the gates open

    I assumed that it was a pano, but was most impressed with the capturing of the starfield.
