Yes, these past few weeks have presented many photo ops for Spring Wildflowers. Our woods are full of blooming laurel and flame azalea at the moment.
The 50mm f/1.8 does produce noticeably sharper images than the 18-70 lens that came with the camera.

Nice shot of a pretty plant. Never saw the like before, but the European flora naturally has to be a bit different.
