The mountain laurel has been spectacular in our area the past two weeks. Seems it is always like this when we have abundant rainfall as we have this year.

LOL.. those are some big rocks

I'd like to live close to some mountain trails one day and do some daily walks.

This is just below the viewpoint of Bald Knob, at 4300 feet. Giles County, VA.

Pretty plant.. I quite like the third shot. We have Bog laurel up here with similar flowers but different leaves.

Pa, Love that kind of scenery.

I'd be taking some shots of that area where that rock and tree meet. I'd bet it would make a very nice photo of contrasting textures.
