I call this Baxter State Park Moose: Mr Majestic

The ‘spots’ that you see are ‘moose flies’.

And off he goes, with a whole bunch of flies hanging on to his…well you see them….

  2. Mark - Beautiful!!!

Majestic he is that's for sure

    Thanks Shep.

Thanks - this was late afternoon about 4:30PM.

Thanks - I especially do not want to see this one crossing the road in front of me!

    Thank you Stephanie.

Be careful what you wish for..... at least you know where to go to find them.
  11. Forget crossing! These guys have been known to charge straight at cars in our area! We were in the car with the kids one day and came upon a moose on a dirt road - stuck the car in reverse and slowly backed away. lol

Great shots. He truly is majestic.

Excellent. That brings back some great memories. What a fantastic photo. My only criticism is that the grass in front of him seems a little blown out, any way you could selectively darken that a little?

I did play with the grass a little bit - I might have been able to reduce it with PS but I only us PS for framing a copyright - this was shoot quick - we came upon him quickly and two other folks were making a lot of noise behind us which spooked him several times and he kept moving so I was not able to frame and set the camera as much as I would have liked. Anyone else have a suggestion to fix the grass? I would also like to know.
