There's a new old ship on Lake Constance since the season opened.
The passenger ship Oesterreich is the new star.
It was built in 1928 as paddle wheel steamer and later reconstructed to a Diesel driven propeller ship. You can notice it by the missing windows on the sides.

Nice pictures.

The best way to see these lakes is by boat. I have not been to this lake but I have been on Lago Maggiore and Iseo in boats like this.

I bet that is very nice to travel on that boat, in the summer it is such a nice place.

Are you standing in Switzerland to take these pictures ?
I seem to remember the mountains in the distance being Austria

Thank you a lot.
I'm standing in Langenargen / Germany, looking south / south-east.
The dark hills in the background are Switzerland, while the lighter mountains to the left belong to Austria. In that gap between river Rhine is coming fron the Alps.

I'll try to get a ride this year on this ship.

Kind regards
Klaus
