It is shots and crops like this that make me lust the D2X I like both the cropability factor and the HSC mode really interests me as a way to add reach without sacrificing fstops

One thing though, while the camera and lens can get you the goods, you sure have to get everything right. I have found out that I can screw up a shot just as well with the D2X as any other camera - maybe even easier.
