My attempt at Dave Hill's style

    I dont know how many of you are familiar with Dave Hills work but I am a fan and have been trying to reproduce his style. Needless to say I have failed miserably at most attempts but I think this one is almost there and thats a big almost.


    If anyone knows of any tutorials on his style please let me know

    That's an extremely hard technique to just recreate IMO. You might be closer than some, but yours are not as cartoony as his. I think Ray might be able to help you the best as to how to get this look over in the post processing section

    I LOVE DAVE HILLS WORK!!! but your phtograph reminds me more of another photog i admire, Frank Doorhof

    Beside the point,

    i really like this image... only thing that really "speaks to me" to be fixed is the cut off foot.... BUT WONDERFUL photograph nonetheless

    You should check out his website. He has videos of dozens of his shoots. From what I can tell, he basically flashes everything from every possible angle. Rather than software HDR, flash overkill HDR.
