My Duck Pond Experience

Discussion in 'Annual Alabama Sessions' started by BourbonCowboy, May 26, 2007.

  1. The morning of the trip to the UAH duckpond, I woke with high hopes for some good shots. I just knew that this was the day that I would become an official "birder." So I eagerly drove PAST THE ARSENAL to the pond. When I arrived there, I found my fellow Cafe members to be in good spirits...and funny hats...

And suddenly, out of the gray skies, came a sight from the heavens...we quickly huddled 'round our equipment - waiting for the sight to behold...

...and we just knew our ducks had arrived...but...

...it was not to be. The ducks chose either to land en masse elsewhere, or at a later time. But fear not, fair Cafe members...all was not lost.

It was duly noted by me, your humble storyteller, that Rich struck quite a deal on supplemental insurance...
