how do i do dat?whats the web site adress? im a real novice about these sort of things.
Heres the link for Windows....
And heres the link for Mac..
I'm a real gimp when it comes to this kind of stuff. izzy: BUT! I was able to do the upgrade with no problems.
If I can do it, anyone can!
I know there are some that get overwhelmed by things like this, but honestly it really is pretty easy. Just take your time, read the directions all the way through before starting the upgrade and go one step at a time. Also be sure that you have enough battery power to complete the format.
See Jim Fenton's thread about two 'confirmed' enhancements....
Thanks folks.I knew y'all would help!
I tried last night to update the firmware on my D300 and was not successful. Could not get the software copied to my memory card. Called Nikon USA this morning and asked for help. The nice lady first had me remove the grip and then escorted me through the procedure.
Was very simple with her help. I was close but evidently was not precisely following the written instructions which I had printed from the Nikon USA website.
The update was done very quickly and total time required on the phone call was just over 13 minutes . . . that includes navigating the menu and time required to get a real person on the phone.
I am favorably impressed with the help provided by Nikon USA!
I Cant Remember My Password Or Account Number?whats A Dope To Doo!
Call Nikon Digital Tech support. I just had the same problem not ten minutes ago, and was sent on my merry way in less than 4.
By the way, those unannounced enhancements to the D300 are credible. The 'B' update is 7,168KB; the 'A' rings in at 512KB.
That's way more than necessary to fix a minor battery indicator flaw.
I can't wait to see if there are any differences.
Why did you have to remove the battery grip?
I asked the Nikon person exactly that question since it was not included in the printed instructions. She stated it helped avoid confusion and that the upgrade just worked better that way.
I chose not to argue the point . . . and sure nuff the upgrade (with her help) was completed in just a few minutes.
Just asking because I did not remove the grip and the upgrade went fine. Ah, well, thanks
I had no problem either. I have the MB-10 as the secondary battery though.
