Another shot with the 70-200VR:
Wow, what else can I say.
WONDERFUL DETAIL, John!!
You are correct, that is one very fine lens. This is also one fine image. Very nice.
Exceptiional image and detail...I am definetly JEALOUS
Actually, it's me that should be jealous. You have two items of equipment (D2X and 500 mm) that are very high on my lust list . . .
hey John, what a great and sharp pic. That 70-200 is one fine lens. I use mine alot.
I'm speechless. What's a picture. :!: I feel that the owl is right in front of me and starring at me. I'm impatient to play with my 70-200mm VR (which supposes to be here by tomorrow afternoon). Besides, what's the camera? .. D2X???
I wish . . . it was a D70.
Awesome. I wish I knew where to find owls. As a kid they were plentyful in my stomping ground now, when I'm interested in them I can't find them.
Thanks. This one had been rescued and was at a local Birds of Prey Center.
Hi John. My owl is a little more sinister (and also less sharp) than your owl.
Very sinister
Well, if you like sinister, here's another version of the same image:
I just got my 70-200 vr two days ago and can't wait to try it this weekend. I just hope my results are near what you can do with it.
