My first Anna

Discussion in 'Birds' started by RecalcitrantRon, Nov 7, 2005.

  1. Actually, thats "Mr." Anna. We were setting up on some flowers and this little fellow showed up for about a minute. ISO 400, 300mm f/2.8 + 1.7 tcon and seriously cropped. Thoughts, comments, constructive criticism appreciated.

Beautiful Ron. Is it just a coincidence that the flowers are the same color as the jeweled area on the bird? Very nice.
  3. very nice even with heavy cropping. Great shot!
  4. nice job of color coordinating the flower and bird. I'm really impressed! :)
  5. Beautiful colors, Ron.
  6. Ron, the hummers sure love that Mexican sage! I planted a whole bunch of it just for them. The problem is it's hard to get a good picture of both, the flowers and the hummer. You got them both here, though I think the color is a little more pink than the real stuff. How did you post process your shot?

  7. That Anna's has awesome throat development, a cleaner shot (which you will get eventually) will be fantastic!
  8. Post on this one was cropped, adjust exposure +1/3, add contrast and sharpen. All done in NikonView Editor.

Will have to plant some of this stuff in the back yard

    Thanks for the kind replies.
