My First Eastern Kingbird

Discussion in 'Birds' started by hangin tree, Apr 17, 2007.

  1. Sorry about the angle that is all the bird would give me.

Subscribe to see EXIF info for this image (if available)

This is a fast bird and seems to fly more than sit.

I like the angle and it's a nice clear shot. Gives the bird that regal air, appropriate to its name and behavior.
  3. nice one Gary. Looks like a young one but can not believe it could be this years already so I must be wrong.
  4. Well I'm not sure about Regal but they are very quick birds

    Thanks Dave

I think he/she was grooming and a little deshoffeled.
  5. nice shot.. not an easy bird to catch.. well done.
  6. Thanks Ray

They don't sit much and when they do they don't stay long.

Never even HEARD of this species, much less got a shot. You are having way to much fun.

Where did you get this one?
  10. They are a very quick bird like a martin, this was caught by the river just after cutting the grass.
