My first Nightingale shots...

Another dream came true a few days ago :smile:
Nightingale was high on my "to shoot" list and I did it!
I won't pretend these are great quality shots, but I'm quite satisfied with them as this shy bird won't give you too many chances to shoot it...

Nikon D2x + 300mm f/2.8 AF-S VR + TC-17E, handheld.
ISO250, 1/200, f/5.6

nice capture
ive tried taking pics of birds like this a couple of times, is damn hard, but then again i didnt have the lense for it, i had 18-55mm and its kinda hard to get close without them flying away :p

Thanks Tommy, ours are hard to get close to even with a 500mm lens :smile:

Good work! They are not easy birds to see, so photos as good as these are a pleasure to view.
There are lots of songs about nightingales, because they sing such an amazing song themselves. They are also very loud, so they always sound close-by, even when they are not.
