My first spring flowers

Discussion in 'Macro, Flowers, Insects, and Greenery' started by fotographik, Apr 27, 2007.

  1. Here are a few small flowers my lunch-time walk of yesterday. The flowers are slowly starting to appear after what was a horrible spring so far! All shot with my 70-300 in macro mode...I'm slowly getting used to it's DOF in that mode.

I just had a friend help me ID these flowers...here goes:

    1- Crocus

2- Glory-in-the-snow (or she thinks it could possibly a cross-pollenated variation from Siberian Squrill and Glory-in-the-snow?!?)

    3- Crocus

The second one is a pretty flower. Never seen one like it. I really like the shot of the first one.

    Really like the second one
The other two could use a bit of sharpening
    Pretty though
  4. Thanks Yvette. As for the second flower, that's exactly what my friend said. She had never seen a similar hence here thinking that it might be some sort of cross-breed.
  5. Thanks Gale. I'll try to sharpen them a bit more.
