Hi all

I had my first wedding in the beginning of last month. I did alot of documentary before, under and after the ceremony but they wanted some portraits and here is what I got. They are very happy with them, but what do you more experienced photogs think?

Nico,

I like the last three shots, The first two are fairly flat and underexposed. The third & fourth pose for the Bride is awkward and the exposure is off. In the fourth shot her ivory dress turned blue.

Looks like tricky lighting. Were you shooting in aperture priority? I've found with high contrast scenes (white dress - black tux) the only way to get a consistent good exposure is to shoot in manual mode.

If the bride and groom are happy, it's a job well done. But if you're planning on shooting more weddings, you should work on technique, just in case your next clients are more demanding. Most of your samples have distracting backgrounds, WB issues, and I don't think any of them portray genuine joy on the part of the subjects. Sorry, but that's my honest opinion.
