  2. Mike, nice shots. I really like the colors on #3. I bet it takes a lot of guts to strap yourself to one of those bikes and nail it. Good stuff.

  3. Very cool event to shoot and nicely done maybe just a tad slower shutter speed so the spokes are not frozen, but I know nothing about shooting motorbikes so if I am off base excuse my ignorance.
the 2nd shows what I am talking about and from that picture I get the feel of the speed of the sport

  4. Guts, or plenty of mind-altering substances lol

Thanks Mike. I try to get come motion blur, and actually the shots with the front wheels up were at a slower shutter speed than the 2nd image which does looked motion-blurred. In some shots, they carry the front wheel from the starting line, so it really is hardly moving and looks frozen. The rear tires do show movement but that's hard to see here. Just part of the challenge, making the work look artsy.

  5. very cool Mike, love the eyes in #2...

Good, but #2 is awesome...love the blurred spokes, and the eyes in #2.

  7. Thanks Chris.

Thanks Jeff. It amazes me what these modern AF systems can track and capture.

Damn, you're good at this! Nicely done!

  9. Thanks Tim.

Light was horrible in the morning, so I tried to get a little artsy with the 24-70 and SB900 on balanced fill flash lol

    Sweet shots great action
I bet it is very tough to pan these when the Bike is moving in 10 different directions from the torque these beasts put out

On the second set the first is very cool, but the other two, there is just not enough fill light for me...

  12. I agree Tim. Hard finding the right EV balance of fill flash. I think these from the semi-finals and finals on Sunday worked better. Opinions?
