Made a trip to see my friends band play finally. The band will have 2 songs on the new Rock Band coming out which I'm pretty pumped to play haha.

    D300 w/ 70-200mm f/2.8

Most, if not all, were 3200 ISO all f/2.8. First time shooting a concert with this lens and not using a flash at all. Definitely a tough task! I would love to try a D3 out at his next show in my town.

    tough shooting in "MIXED" lighting
    #7 is my favorite...
there's a bit of LUCK involved in shooting in rapidly changing artificial light.... you did better than most

    thanks for sharing

  3. VERY well done!
thats is NO easy feat and you did VERY well!
I have a mixed lighting event later this month and hav'nt all the details yet. Kinda worried myself as it's THE biggest thing I have ever even dreampt of doing (gulp) but hope the D3 will hold my hand tightly and help me :)

Thanks everyone! Yeah the lights changing every 5 seconds was definitely a pain as I would take a shot right as the light was changing and it would look way over exposed. I was happy with the results I came up with though.
