My Ghost Bird Finally ~ Leucistic Red Tail High Key

For 5 years I have looked for this bird and have seen it soaring a handful of times.

Today, finally, it came down and sat 65 feet above me, completely backlit with an extremely bright sun through a consistent thin overcast.

This one I tried high key as that is how I have dreamed of this moment, literally for the past five years.

Nikon D300s, 600VR, TC14EII, ISO 500, 1/500, NearUniWB, CW metering, +3.3 EV applied

Really cool, Jim. There are some reports of either leucistic or piebald birds here in Missouri that I hope to investigate soon.

Amazing! Would love to see a version of this picture in it's "standard" format as well as high key.
