Well, I just received my 20 2.8, and it seems to be nice, although I haven't had a chance to really test it yet. Now my prime collection consists of my 20, my 50, and my 85. Based on those numbers, can you guess which focal length I'm most likely to consider next? Shouldn't be too hard!

I see in your future: 105 f2.8 Micro, 135 f2 DC, 180f2.8, 300F4 :p

The prime path is a dark and treacherous path ;).

I'd bet on the 180 f2.8D

I'm sure that is on the path! But not next.

I think you got where I was going! I'm not sure which 105 it will be at this point, but I'm thinking according to what I've got, that FL just has to be next, right?

My bet, in order of likeliness

1) 135mm (55%) Zeiss or Nikon - given you have already a 70-200, I expect you to look for a faster prime in the shorter range.
2) 180mm (45%) Nikon or Sigma (least likely, given the price and the weight) - probably the 135 is the next focal length yet also 180 might be very likely. Here's why I wrote 55/45

35 f/1.4 - to fill the gap between the 20mm and 50mm

I would go 105 as well.

I have a 35, 50 and 85 prime and then a 20-35 2.8 zoom and im fine with 20 being the widest. I definitely want a 105 Micro next.

Dagnabit! I had just gotten that one out of my mind!  Yes, it is on the "short" list, too. Most likely a step ahead of the 105. I will 99% buy the Sigma, giving me a nice "trinity" of Sigma 1.4 primes.
