As the bird activity subsides in my yard and things in this part of Missouri slowly open up, I made the quick dash to my collared lizard hot spot. I was beginning to feel anxiety as I completed the first half mile without seeing a single lizard. I turned back and slowly retraced my path. Whew! I found a few with 1 individual volunteering to pose.

Those, as always, are great shots of my favorite lizard. Well done
Thanks so much. I need to get back out west to shoot some out there. That WAS the plan this year!
I love these shots and I'm a big fan of Collared Lizards too! We have them out here and they often seem to enjoy posing (when I can spot one).
Thanks. I like the subspecies you guys have, too. I haven't had a chance to photograph them since the film days, though.
Thanks, Fred.
the settings are as good as the lizards
great set
Thanks a lot, Randy. I am trying to get pickier on my backgrounds.
Terrific work Aaron.
Thanks, Louie.
