Neurosurgeon says my MRA revealed a perfectly normal brain (and I always thought it was above normal :D).

The good news is that I have no restrictions on my activities.

Thanks everyone. A friend told me on our hike today that when she had an MRI, her doctor told her she had a perfect human brain. Her son-in-law said she needed to get a second opinion.

A former colleague/fellow retiree has a rather daredevil-ish son. After one too many injuries he finally landed the "big one" (as his dad put it) and knocked himself out water skiing (or was it snowboarding?). He was life-flighted to Spokane, where, after his MRI, the radiologist remarked, "Well he does have a brain!" To which his mom replied, "Too bad he doesn't know how to use it!"

Just thought I would revive this thread on the one-year anniversary of the day of the event. We celebrated by doing a fairly long and strenuous hike at one of our favorite places. Planning a nice meal this evening and may open a bottle of bubbly.

Way to go, Jim! A hearty congratulations to you, your family and your medical teams in Italy and Virginia. The perseverance of everyone involved resulted in a very happy ending to a story that, sadly, could quite easily have had a very different ending. Enjoy your evening celebration! Heck, consider getting out one of those special dessert wines you've been holding back on for an appropriate occasion to come along.

Thanks, Mike. I think the Sauternes is on the agenda.

Congrats! (y)
Thanks, Don.

Congrats!
And I'll hoist one in your honor as soon as the magic hour arrives on the Palouse.
Thanks, Nick. I'll hold you to that even though I know what a sacrifice it is.:D

As my brother says, No worries it is 5 o'clock somewhere.
Sun will be over the yardarm here in less than an hour.

Congrats Jim, so glad it all worked out well.
Thanks, Tom. I hope you are still doing well.
