My version from S. Florida

Well after seeing all the great posts from Florida, I figured I would post a few of mine as well. I just got back from a business trip to South Beach. I managed a few days off to go to the Keys and that is where these pictures are from. Like Bill Dewey, we arrived to the tropical storm as well. You Florida folks sure have some great birds to photograph but boy does it get hot. These were all shot with the Nikon D100 and 70-200vr lens some with either 1.4 tc or 2.0 tc.

These are from a boat trip we took in Key West to go snorkeling.

This egret was not shy at all. He wanted to walk right up to me.

Then we found this green heron in a pond. It was all in the shade and I needed a flash I did not have.

I got a kick out of watching these Ibis. Funny looking birds.

This one had an itch as well as the next one of the gull.

This iguana jumped out of the pond and nearly gave my wife heart failure.

My last post is of the Frigate Bird, they look prehistoric to me. Fun to watch soar.

Very very nice.

Now my favorite animal in the world is the Dolphin, so you know I love those for sure, and great pics as well.

The iguana was prob someones pet at one time.

when I lived there 100 years ago (wink) no iguanas wild.

Very nice assortment of creatures found. Good going and post more of the Key as well as any others you have from that trip.

would love to see.

Thank you so much for sharing these great images.
