Well after seeing all the great posts from Florida, I figured I would post a few of mine as well. I just got back from a business trip to South Beach. I managed a few days off to go to the Keys and that is where these pictures are from. Like Bill Dewey, we arrived to the tropical storm as well. You Florida folks sure have some great birds to photograph but boy does it get hot. These were all shot with the Nikon D100 and 70-200vr lens some with either 1.4 tc or 2.0 tc. These are from a boat trip we took in Key West to go snorkeling. Subscribe to see EXIF info for this image (if available) View attachment 10637 This egret was not shy at all. He wanted to walk right up to me. View attachment 10638 Then we found this green heron in a pond. It was all in the shade and I needed a flash I did not have. View attachment 10639 I got a kick out of watching these Ibis. Funny looking birds. View attachment 10640 This one had an itch as well as the next one of the gull. View attachment 10643 My last post is of the Frigate Bird, they look prehistoric to me. Fun to watch soar. View attachment 10644 Sorry for such a long post.
