My "wide angle" lens

I've considered a 12-24, but I don't know what I'd do with it. My idea of "wide" is anything under 50mm. Unfortunately, my 24-120VR wasn't very sharp at the wide end, and until recently, my next widest lens was the 60mm micro.

I picked up a used Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 for wedding work, and now I've discovered I have a useable "wide angle" lens... even if it's just 28mm (42mm FF FOV). Here's some shots I took today... an assignment from my editor at the neighborhood monthly newspaper. We just finished renovations on the neighborhood pool club, and he wanted some pics for the February edition.

I would guess that your editor will be pleased with these shots Frank. I have never owned a Tamron lens before but it certainly looks sharp enough to me. As to wide angle, if you have enough room to back up any lens under 50mm will do the job.
