My wife's first wedding cake

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by italy74, Jul 12, 2008.

  1. For our friends Daniele e Magdalena (Maggie), getting married later on today.
Her first two-layers, cake frosted with sponge cake filled with lemon cream. Also flowers and leaves are "hand made"

Keep your fingers crossed that it arrives still good at its final destination !!!

What is here secret to the frosting being so silky?

  7. After looking at that cake, I had to take a diabetes pill. :Curved:

  10. Hi guys
a few lines once back from the wedding.

    1) it was a short CIVIL ceremony (no priest involved, since the husband is already divorced) and we were 10 people plus someone else that came to the town all.

    2) I took about 200 shots with the D200 and around 20 with the F6. This is due to what I've just said: few people and short ceremony, much different from our "classic ones" (many hours and hundreds of invitees) so everything was less stressing.

    3) It was a beautiful weather day and despite I should go to my parents later, I'll try to post something as soon as possible.

    See you later

    excellent photography

glad for the PEOPLE shots, as well

  14. Really nice all the way around Dino... and congratulations on getting the cake to the wedding in one pieced.

When my wife does a wedding cake she usually puts it all together on location and does the decorating there. You are very brave.

  15. I have tried decorating cakes, it is harder than it looks. I'm impressed, she did very well, I'm sure the couple will love it.

  16. Dino,

Looks great, I bet it tastes even better!
