nope they have a variety or aircraft they use for testing out at Dryden..
They had. F-15 modified with canards..

Very nice...I remember in the old days, I had an assignment that took me over the Tehacahapis to China Lake. I got "lost":wink: ,and ended up wandering around the airport.
I saw a beautiful F100 all decked out in NASA livery. Just the office Polaroid with me, that day, tho.

Yep, they have always had F-18A models and a few F-15 early models..
