  1. How are these? I shot these at ISO 800 and the boat was moving, so I expect flaws, but how bad?

    very nice!

  5. Thanks, Bubz!

This was the first time I ever took a picture at night with a high ISO in an attempt to stop motion of the boat. It seemed to work pretty good.

  6. If you all like the blue sky, I have more of those. They're not as sharp as the first two, though.

great shots John. Cool river lights.

  8. The blue evening lights look great. Looks like D80 and 18-135 f/3.5-5.6 is a great combo.

    Thanks

  9. Not bad at all. In fact, very beautiful captures.

  10. Pretty city and good capture.

  11. So which of these shots look best, or do you like best?

  12. For me it's the Pic#2 in your second set of posting.
    Thanks

  13. I would probably pick #7.

  14. Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I'll fine tune my settings again on the next attempt to see if I can improve these more.

One question, though. I hear if I shoot in RAW, it will have more resolution and less noise when the ISO is cranked up. Is that true?

Keep in mind I shot these in .jpeg and only resized them with no editing at all. If you want me to post a link to one of these in the full size .jpeg, let me know and I'll upload one of your choice.
