Natterjack Toads.

I visited Cumbria over Easter and was told of this site where Natterjack toads go to mate at this time of year.

I only had my kit 18-105 lens and no flash diffuser, but still managed to get these.


1. They are not very good swimmers.

2. This male was croaking loudly to try and impress the female behind, but she did not look impressed.

Thanks Karen, the females are all much larger than the males.
Natterjack toads are also a threatened species in the UK due to habitat loss, so I was pleased to get these shots.
