Nature vs Progress

Discussion in 'Landscapes, Architecture, and Cityscapes' started by Bohdan, Oct 9, 2005.

  1. Sometimes you wonder whether it was all worth it...Nature has been impacted by an industry that is no longer viable in this area but has certainly left it's mark.

Feeding time at the grain elevators!

    Thanks for looking

  2. Man that's a lot of grain silo's you have there. I like the second image the best.
  3. Thanks Gordon...Thunder Bay is geographically the centre of Canada.Grain would be shipped here by train and then shipped out via the Great Lakes to the rest of the world...but no longer is Thunder Bay the port of choice...western farmers have discovered alternate transport methods for their produce and the hub of Thunder Bay's economic base is slowly eroding...
