Need Saturation Opinions

Discussion in 'Retouching and Post Processing' started by phecksel, May 6, 2007.

  1. Do these look over saturated? I processed them on my laptop, and then looked at them on the desktop. They look over saturated on my desktop. Both calibrated with the same equipment...although it's a been awhile.

  2. The only one that sticks out to me is the 1st one, 2nd row. Otherwise, they look fine.

Some pretty big differences in the reds of the track.

  5. I had noticed that as well, which is still at least partially coming back to saturation...guess I need to find a better way to handle a large group of photos in ever changing lighting conditions. Top photo is probably the closest to my memory of the track.

Not hard to fix, but it's worth experimenting with different ways. Below:
    1 - original
2 - saturation of reds reduced
3 - selective color adjustment in the red channel, reducing black levels

I suspect that #3 will get you closer to what you're after.
