    • Winner Winner x 1
  2. Pretty little creatures (to Mom art least.)

  3. I like #1 the way both mom and chick are in focus
I don't think you acquired focus on 2 or 3

  4. Good stuff. That first shot is really nice. As Randy pointed out it looks like you lost focus on the birds in nos.2 and 3. Particularly on the adult bird's head. What focus mode were you using?

  5. I know that nest, keep shooting it up, as they get bigger they get more animated. Enjoy!

  6. Standard af-s

  7. Wow, the look prehistoric. Nice photos

  8. I like the way the mom's feathering seems to echo the nest branches. Sweet shot!

  9. The first one in my mind is your best photo you've posted in the last year or so. Very well done!

It might be informative for you to run all three photos through Nikon's raw converter to determine the focus point. That assumes you didn't recompose after focusing.

  10. there in may lie your problem

ALWAYS use AF-C and I'll let you read why

  11. Were you using a single focus point, auto focus point selection, group focus...?

  12. Single point focus.
