New born + 1

This new Fawn was dropped by the Doe right behind my neighbors propane tank. It was fast asleep as I was able to go right to it’s side and until the shutter clicked it stayed with it’s eyes closed. Used a 28 to 135 zoom lens. The plus one is a hand held with 700MM
(500 + 1.4TE) The one landed and I took aim at it when another attacked it just as I took the photo.

How wonderful!!! I've never seen a fawn but I've heard of farmers almost mowing them down in fields with a tractor because of their camouflage. Beautiful.

I just sold my classic 68 Fury 3 RAGTOP. I miss her but not the gas pumps she liked so much.:biggrin::biggrin:

Hi Sandi and thank you for the look. Yes Fawns do meet their end by mowing machines as it is quite hard to see them in the tall hay. I live on the lower pastuer of a farm and it has happened several times over the years. They are also a favorite for the Black Bear which we also have plenty of.
