In the past few years, the wrens have ruled our garden. This year, Attila the Hummer has taken over the top spot, although the prolonged quarrel he had with the wrens yesterday may tarnish his crown a little. However, neither the wrens or Attila will quarrel with this bird. He and his mate moved into the wisteria arbor, usurping territory once used by Cardinals and finches. When he or his mate are present, NOBODY talks any smack to thrm! Going to be interesting to watch them dive-bomb the dachshunds (who are pretty immune to that kind of treatment from the birdies!).
