I just got off the phone with a guy from Sigma. He said that if all goes well they have told him it will available starting next week. *crossing fingers* He also gave me a price. MSRP should be around 640$ and a street price of about 450ish$. Mike

Seems a little pricey to me, but I guess it will be worth it if reviews show it to have excellent sharpness and contrast wide-open. I'll have a use for this lens in September, so I guess I have some time to wait and see what people think of the lens.
I've had mine on order now for almost 2 weeks. Paid $449 for it. If all works out well, I should have it sometime next week... Will post pics when it arrives. _/oe
