New Flowers

This flower was shot in early morning light. I positioned my camera behind the light but exposed for the highlights. Exposure with matrix metering was cut by 2/3 stops. This is the first flower (others are coming) we see from this plant.

Technical information:

Camera: D300 set to manual mode. ISO 200. Picture Control set to NEUTRAL.
Lens: 24-85 AF-S Nikkor set to f7.1. Focal length 85mm.
Exposure: f7.1/320sec. Metering intended for the highlights but the exposure was cut by 2/3 stops.
Original RAW in the sRGB color space.
Although I always use a tripod for shots like this, I did not this time.
Gaussian blur applied with Photoshop.
