DISCLAIMER: I am not a bird photographer. lol /DISCLAIMER

All I can say is kudos to you bird photographers. I went to the beach at the beginning of the week and thought I would put wedding photography on the back burner and try my hand at bird photography for a few days. It turns out that it is no where near as easy as you guys make it look. Hats off to you. Here's a few that I managed to snap with my 75-300mm. CC welcome. I've already learned that I need to watch my crop. It's tough being zoomed out and trying to follow a flying bird.

I think you did fine...and good on you for leaving your comfort zone 'cause I for one am NOT going to try my hand at wedding photography any time soon.

Such a great point about leaving our comfort zones....and kudos to the OP for trying something new.

Excellent shots! Well done! The 2 you added are very nice also. It's not just the tracking that is challenging, it's also the quickly changing exposures due to sky, backlighting, shrubbery, etc.

I'm still trying different subjects - trying to find something I can do WELL! LOL!

I'd rather shoot birds (or anything else come to think of it) than brides. I like them all except 8 with it's clipped wing and 9 which might have benefited from getting the whole bird shadow in the shot. Well done.
